The IDEATHON CONFERENCE & ENTREPRENEURSHIP CONCLAVE 2026 — Building Future Enterprises is a two-day innovation and entrepreneurship platform jointly organized by Mangalayatan University, Jabalpur, in association with IMPARC under the IMPARC Knowledge Series. The conclave is designed to encourage students, researchers, faculty mentors, startups, and aspiring entrepreneurs to develop innovative ideas, validate business concepts, and transform them into sustainable ventures.

Bringing together academia, industry experts, incubation centers, startup founders, and investors, the conclave offers participants a unique opportunity to engage in expert-led discussions, ideation challenges, startup pitching, networking sessions, and mentorship interactions. Participants will gain exposure to design thinking, business model development, market validation, funding opportunities, and entrepreneurial best practices.

The event also provides avenues for research publication, startup ecosystem engagement, investor interaction, and recognition through various awards. By fostering collaboration between education, innovation, and enterprise, the conclave aims to nurture the next generation of entrepreneurs, innovators, and changemakers capable of building impactful future enterprises.

Guidelines

How to participate & submit

Research Papers

Each participating team must submit a research paper prepared and presented by the Faculty Mentor.


Word Limit: 2,000–3,000 words in a structured academic format.

Structured Format: Abstract → Introduction → Literature Review / Background → Methodology → Findings & Analysis → Conclusion & Recommendations

Originality Requirement: Work must be original and unpublished. Plagiarism must be within academic standards.

Startup Brief

Each team must submit a concise overview of the proposed startup or innovative idea, prepared and led by the Entrepreneur / Team Leader.

- Innovation & Uniqueness What makes your solution different?

- Target Market & Customer Segment Who are your primary customers?

Presentation Format

Part 1 – Research Presentation

Presented by Faculty Mentor

The presentation should focus on:

Part 2 – Startup Pitch

Presented by Entrepreneur / Team Leader

The pitch should cover:

  4. Market Strategy & Revenue Model
  5. Financials & Funding Requirements

Rules & Guidelines

  1. All submissions must be original and created by the participating team.
  2. Any form of plagiarism, copyright infringement, or misrepresentation may lead to disqualification.
  3. Teams must strictly adhere to the prescribed submission and presentation timelines.
  4. The decision of the jury and evaluation committee shall be final and binding.
  5. Use of presentations, prototypes, demonstrations, videos, and visual aids is permitted.
  6. Participants are encouraged to present practical, innovative, and scalable solutions.
  7. Teams are responsible for the accuracy and authenticity of all submitted information.
  8. Interdisciplinary and socially impactful ideas are highly encouraged.
  9. All participants are expected to maintain professional conduct throughout the event.
  10. Organizers reserve the right to modify the schedule or event structure if required.

Who can participate in the IDEATHON & Entrepreneurship Conclave 2026?

The event is open to undergraduate and postgraduate students, research scholars, faculty members and mentors, early-stage startups, aspiring entrepreneurs, incubation centre-affiliated teams, and interdisciplinary student teams. Each team must include at least one Entrepreneur/Startup Founder (Team Leader) and one Faculty Mentor, with an optional 2 additional members (team size: 2–4).

What do teams need to submit, and by when?

Each team submits two components: a Research Paper (2,000–3,000 words, faculty mentor-led, covering Abstract, Introduction, Literature Review, Methodology, Findings & Analysis, and Conclusion) and a Startup/Idea Brief (entrepreneur-led, covering product description, problem statement, innovation, target market, business model, and expected impact). A prototype or model is optional but recommended. All work must be original and unpublished.

What is the registration fee, and what does it include?

Fees are ₹1,500 for faculty members, ₹1,200 for startup founders/research scholars, and ₹1,000 for UG/PG students, with optional accommodation at ₹2,500 per person. Registration includes conference participation, access to expert sessions and panel discussions, startup pitch competition entry, networking opportunities, an e-certificate, award eligibility, and possible publication opportunities.

How does the presentation/pitch format work?

Each team gets a maximum of 10–15 minutes (including Q&A), split into two 5-minute parts: Part 1 is a Research Presentation by the Faculty Mentor (problem identification, need analysis, market validation, feasibility), and Part 2 is a Startup Pitch by the Entrepreneur/Team Leader (product demo, value proposition, business model, market strategy, and funding requirements).

What can selected teams gain from participating?

Beyond awards (Best Idea, Best Social Innovation, Best Business Model, Best Mentor, Best Influencer), selected teams may receive funding opportunities, mentorship support, investor/VC exposure, a podcast feature on Ignited Minds Dialogue, internship/incubation recommendations, and publication opportunities in ISBN conference proceedings, edited books by Horizon Books, or case study compilations.
